Huge antique Syrian Damascene tray or table top. Inlaid with copper and thick bands of silver.Designs of arabesques & calligraphy and motifs of deer and wildlife, and inscribed all around the rim and central area with Arabic proverbs. Circa 1890/1900. Diameter 65cm.
